Zoar Village: Founded
by the German religious dissenters called the Society of
Separatists of Zoar in 1817 as a communal society, Zoar
today is an island of Old-World charm in east-central Ohio.
Many of the German-style structures built by the Zoarites
have been restored and are open to the public as Zoar
Village State Memorial. Others are privately-owned, and
serve as residences, shops, restaurants and bed and
breakfast inns. Visitors can experience the life of the
agrarian Separatists by visiting the ten restored buildings
(Number One House, Kitchen/Magazine Complex, Bimeler Museum,
Garden House, Bakery, Tin Shop, Dairy, Wagon Shop,
Blacksmith Shop and Zoar Store), which are staffed with
costumed interpreters and furnished with items made or used
by the Separatists. Some buildings are staffed, others open
by guided tour. Volunteers give craft demonstrations during
the many yearly special events.

Fort Laurens:
Built during the revolutionary war in 1788. Park is filled
with information on how the soldiers of the time spent their
days.

Wolf Timbers: Non
for profit organization founded in 1996 to enlighten people
on the true nature of the wolf and the role it plays in the
ecosystem.

William McKinley Presidential Library
and Museum: Completed in 1907 as tribute
and tomb of 25th president William McKinley. Visit the Life
sized indoor village, the prehistoric animals, the
science center, planetarium, and museum shoppe. Also walk
in the tomb where President McKinley lies, as well as his
wife and two children.

Pro Football Hall of Fame:
Featuring one-of-a-kind artifacts, present pro
football's unique story. Chronicled within the walls of
the Hall of Fame are the stories and circumstances of play
that bring to life words such as courage, vision, fair paly,
and skill.

Warthers Carvings:
Beautiful 8 acre park surrounding the original home
of the Warthers. Here you will experience the story of the
Warther family and see how the Warthers combined a love of
family with their love of hobbies to leave behind an amazing
legacy, and the worlds master carver.

Bolivar Antiques: Located
close to the hotel, and offers two floors of quality
antiques, collectibles, and antique holiday decor.

shop will put you 100 years into the past. Enjoy
their antique tools and appliances which covers over an
acre.

different way of life when viewing the Amish in their daily
lives. Located 10 miles from the Hotel, its a great place
to relax and enjoy the lives of the Amish.

J.E. Reeves Victorian Home and Museum:
Step into the elegance of the 19th Century. The mansion,
the home of prominent Dover industrialist Jeremiah Reeves.
The 17 room home topped by a third floor ballroom has been
restored to its original splendor. The home is fully
furnished with the original furniture of the Reeves family.
Also visit the carriage house, a museum featuring vehicles
records, photographs and other artifacts of Dover.
